Melisa Methena, who works at the Giles memorial hospital, talked to 70 students interested in the medical field. She talked about working in the medical field, working in several different specialties, and the importance of teamwork. She graduated from Bluefield State College and got her degree in nursing, and became  a circulatory nurse in the operating room. Bio-med student, Luke Jackson said,  “it was a great experience and eye opening to see how many opportunities are in the medical field.”  Another Bio-med student, Gabriel Wilcox, said, “It was a very educational presentation and made me think about my future and pursuing the medical field.” We would like to thank Mrs. Methena for spending her time to speak to our students.
