JROTC Competes in Drill Competition

On 5 March 2020 the MCTC JROTC program went to a drill competition at National Guard Armory in Lewisburg. They competed in various competitions and also hosted the event, preparing over 200 meals for the competitors in the process. The color guard, which took second place, included Alia Cameron, Zach Cook, Julia Hild, and Destiny Cook. Cadet Julia Hild got 4th place, and Zach Cook got 6th place in the individual drill “knockout” competition. The high schools that competed were Princeton, Greenbrier East, Greenbrier West, Webster, Fayette, and Woodrow Wilson.  Senior Miracle Hopkins, who commands the Maverick Battalion and competed in the platoon drill competition said,¨I really enjoyed my last year doing this and I wish the next cadets the best of luck.¨
