The September 9th Board Meeting

Last week’s September 9th saw the Board of Education come to James Monroe High School to have a board meeting in the auditorium, at which Matt Goff was present. I questioned him on what occurred at the meeting and this is what he reported:

This was the first time the student body leadership groups got together to present to the Board of Education directly. The student body president gave a report, then they discussed how last year’s juniors had better SAT scores than the previous year’s juniors, and how to improve test scores even further. After that they discussed sports and the various goals for the various sports teams that James Monroe High School offered, and finally they held a special hearing, at which point Matt had to leave the board meeting.
